HIC 09

We were thrilled to be supporters of the Health eNation / HIC 09 conference in Canberra 19-21 August. It was great to see so many familiar faces amongst the 600 delegates.

This year’s conference focused on the role IT has in redefining Healthcare across the entire spectrum including preventive healthcare, diagnosis through to delivery.Presentations from local and overseas keynotes gave a fascinating insight what is currently being done and looked at practical systems and process issues that need to be addressed now to meet the challenges of the future.

Surity Launches New Solutions

We were kept busy at our stand demonstrating our two new solutions Mobile ProFile and our Health Information Management System, HIMS. Mobile ProFile our end-to-end wireless sample collection solution attracted a lot of interest for the positive patient ID functionality and its ability to run on a variety of mobile devices including tablets, laptops, etc.

The HIMS solution was of particular interest to those struggling to manage the vast amounts of information and gaining ready access to it – be it patient records, administrative forms or reference material – at a departmental level.

While many organisations are working towards fully functional eHR systems within five to ten years, HIMS offers a fast, cost effective and scalable solution that scans and stores existing and new information and makes it accessible to authorised users in a clear and easy to read format.

In other words HIMS, as per the conference theme, addresses today’s departmental needs while enabling organisations to meet the challenges of the future.
